The Foundation Board’s term of office is three years, but the chairmanship will be rotational
This is another step towards launching the program which will finance the installation of POS terminals in Polish SMEs. A few days ago, the first inaugural meeting of the Board was held. One of the decisions made during the meeting was the appointment of its Chairman, with Bartosz Ciołkowski, Country Manager of Mastercard in Poland, getting the nomination.

Other members of the Board will include Grażyna Ciurzyńska from the Ministry of Development, Joanna Erdman from mBank (representing card issuers), Jerzy Bańka (deputy President of the Polish Bank Association), Rafał Gołębiewski (Director of Elavon Poland and representative of the Acquirer’s Committee) and Jakub Kiwior from Visa. It has been decided that during the Board’s tenure, the position of chairman will undergo a rotational change.

The Board has also authorized the leadership of the Cashless Poland Foundation to have operational control over the fund which finances the installation of terminals. According to the information provided by Mieczysław Groszek, the President of Cashless Poland, the launching of the pilot version of the terminalization program is scheduled for December this year, whereas the full version should begin in the first quarter of 2018.
