Poland's PKO App Number One Among World's 100 Biggest Banks

The ranking was published in Retail Banker International magazine's March edition

RBI is a monthly finance magazine which has been published in Great Britain for the last 30 years. In the latest, March issue it has published a ranking of mobile applications offered by 100 of the biggest banks in the world. Our market's biggest bank, PKO BP, is the only company from Poland included on the list. But its mention is very memorable - its IKO app was deemed number one.

IKO was considered superior to solutions from banking giants such as Bank of America, UBS, Lloyds or Barclays, as well as award-winning companies known for their innovations, such as Garanti, Caixabank or BBVA. The Polish bank's app was the ranking's winner thanks to a large number of positive reviews in the App Store and Google Play. The ranking was based on the average reviews from Android and iOS smartphone users.

While the British magazine's ranking method may not be very sophisticated, it is definitely fair - it lets customers judge the quality of the banks’ solutions and how satisfied they are with them. IKO's review was an average 4.8 out of 5 points. It also had a significantly large number of reviews - almost 150 thousand. This makes the position Polish bank's app even more firm, because the top ten included apps with fewer than 10 thousand reviews. At the same time we need to take note of the fact that numbers two and three on the list - apps from Discover Financial Services and Chase - had average reviews that were only slightly lower than IKO's with over one million reviews total.
