The business of Diners Club in Poland will be managed by the Slovak company of the American organization
Diners Club Polska has announced a decision to merge with its Slovak counterpart. As a result of this operation, Diners Club Polska sp. z o. o. will be taken over by Diners Club CS with its seat in Bratislava and the organization will continue to operate in Poland as a branch of the Slovak company. It will take over all the rights and obligations of Diners Club Polska, including those resulting from agreements for cards issued by this company.

According to the plan of taking over DCP by the Slovak company published today, it appears that the process will result in employment reduction. In the Polish branch of Diners Club, compared to today's situation, the number of employees is to be reduced by almost half, i.e. by over 13 jobs. Employment will be limited to 14 posts. The number of people employed under civil law contracts will also decrease.

Diners Club is a niche payment organization specializing in issuing payment cards intended for individual customers and company employees, who often travel abroad. Diners Club issues charge cards (debt should be repaid in full, e.g. every month) and credit cards. The organization does not state how many cards it supports in Poland, but the majority, i.e. about 99 percent of the Polish market (over 43 million cards), are plastics with the Mastercard and Visa logos.
